The president of the French Football Federation only wanted to award bonuses to Les Bleus if they reached the World Cup semi-finals!
However, Kylian Mbappé disagreed and told him:
“President, this is your first World Cup. It’s my third.
Do you think reaching the round of 16 or the quarter-finals has no value?”
The France captain eventually got his way and convinced the FFF president to cha nge his mind.
