繼去年的鈴木一朗後 國王Felix Hernandez將成為水手隊名人堂的第11位成員
典禮在美國時間8/12 接近他投出完全比賽的日子(8/15)
為11人中第3位投手(Johnson, Moyer) 36歲入選也是11人中最年輕
15年的水手生涯累積418場先發、169勝、2729.2局、2524K、49.9 bWAR都是隊史第一
2014單季2.14 ERA和0.92 WHIP也是隊史紀錄
2010帶回美聯賽揚獎及2012對光芒投出1比0完全比賽
還有生涯唯一一發全壘打 2008砲轟Johan Santana的滿貫砲
多年來擔任西雅圖的王牌
King's Court的黃色人海及大K字卡是主場登板時的壯觀景象
水手隊名人堂表揚球員、工作人員及其他對於球隊有重大貢獻的人物
球員入選的資格是出賽至少5季及卸下球員身分至少2年
除了場上的表現 也會考慮對社區及對球隊、MLB形象的正面影響
Mariners chairman and managing partner John Stanton's statement:
“Fans were captivated by Felix from his first start in 2005 until his
final pitch in 2019 with every game of his career in a Mariner uniform.
He cemented his place in Mariners history with our only perfect game on
August 15, 2012 -- a day our fans will never forget. Felix provided
thousands of unforgettable memories throughout his 418 starts, including winning the 2010 Cy Young Award and his improbable 2008 grand slam
home run to beat the Mets. His induction into the Mariners Hall of Fame
in August -- 10 years after his perfect game -- symbolizes Felix’s
permanent place in the Mariners family and our history.”
