RHP Marcus Stroman - still experiencing discomfort, according to Aaron Boone, who said Stroman is continuing to play catch but has “nothing ramped up yet.”Boone said Stroman is dealing with “some irritation that won’t leave, so we’re trying to look at everything.”
RHP Jonathan Loáisiga - began a Minor League rehab assignment on April 26 with Class-A Tampa and is “still a few weeks away,” according to Boone, who said the club will want him to pitch on back-to-back days before considering activating him. Loáisiga is scheduled to pitch for Tampa on April 30, then would make another appearance there before being promoted to Double-A or Triple-A.
RHP Scott Effross - is getting ready to begin throwing live batting practice during the first week of May, Boone said.
